Welcome to the “Enhancing Reading Comprehension for SEN Students with Partial Mental Disabilities through Avatars” project website! Our project aims to help students with special educational needs (SEN) who face some mental challenges improve their reading skills and more.
Our Goals
Main Goal: Our primary goal is to create a fun and effective learning environment that helps students understand what they read better. We want to improve their reading skills, boost their academic performance, and increase their confidence and motivation in learning.
- Virtual Learning Tool:
We are developing an online tool that features avatars and interactive elements. This will make learning more engaging and motivating for students with SEN and partial mental disabilities. - Customized Learning Materials:
Our platform will offer personalized learning materials and activities tailored to each student’s needs. These will include visual aids, audio cues, and other supportive features to help them learn better. - Reading Skills Improvement:
We aim to enhance students’ reading comprehension by focusing on vocabulary, phonetic awareness, and sentence structure. We’ll also help them identify main ideas, make inferences, and draw conclusions from what they read. - Progress Monitoring:
We’ll monitor and assess each student’s progress by tracking their reading speed, accuracy, and understanding. Based on these assessments, we’ll provide feedback and support to help them improve continuously.
